R. W. Beck Supports SMUD in Business Process Re-Design

SACRAMENTO (June 26, 2009) - The Sacramento Municipal Utility District selected R. W. Beck to assist with the re-design of its business processes resulting from the implementation of its smart meter deployment. R. W. Beck will guide SMUD business process re-design teams and support the change process required for successful implementation of 620,000 smart electric meters, its meter data management system and communications infrastructure.

"R. W. Beck will provide insight on a full range of business process improvements related to SMUD’s smart meter installation and development of smart grid functionality," said Walter Levesque, consultant and project manager. "Our focus will be to align business processes to achieve the benefits that SMUD's smart meter vision offers."

Earlier this year, SMUD selected R. W. Beck to support the implementation of its smart meter project.
