Third-Party Objectivity
Mitigates Risks R. W. Beck’s due diligence reviews provide clients with the insight and information needed to thoroughly evaluate the potential risks and rewards of their investments (whether debt or equity) in oil, gas and chemical assets. The firm has completed due diligence evaluations of transactions in the hydrocarbon sector with an aggregate transaction value of billions of dollars. Many of these engagements were for the acquiring companies or their lenders or equity investors. We evaluate a wide range of factors tied to the economic potential of an asset or asset group to assess attendant risks. These include review of historical operating and financial performance, operating and maintenance expenses, assessment of physical asset condition and environmental and regulatory compliance, analysis of commercial agreements, evaluation of the competition, and review or development of the pro forma economic model. A broad range of skill sets and experience is required to perform this work thoroughly and efficiently. R. W. Beck consultants bring to the table a unique blend of engineering ability, first-hand operations experience, well grounded business acumen and an aptitude for working against hard deadlines.
